ACCESSIBILITY

Coming from the Ogwumabiri Otampadaily market, through the major ring road, you will access the facility by the left hand side, directly opposite the Traditional Leader’s palace.

The next accessible entrance is through same the ring road that comes from the Orieukwu Otampamonthly market, via the OtampaRailway station, the facility is by the right hand side of the major road.

MAIN ENTRANCE

 1) This is the main entrance to the the Health Centre and if carefully observed, one will notice the grossly decayed security fence.

This fence did not go round the building, therefore, requires to be broken down for a fresh fence to protect the Health Centre, the medical facilities and staff from being attacked by criminals and to wade off intruders, for possible encroachment.

FRONT VIEW

2) This is the front view of the Health Centre, which houses a hall with a reception, a consulting room, a store and two other rooms as offices.

THE ENVIRONMENT

  3) This is the surrounding view of the Health Centre, which has been overgrown with grasses, now turning into bushes.

The back view is even more pronounced, with unwanted trees and swapped during the rainy seasons due to poor drainages round about the Health Centre.

STRUCTURAL CONDITION

   4) This picture represents the true expression of how the outside walls of the facility look like, so dismembered and completely worn out by winds, drops of rain and the heat of the sun, as the roof needs total replacement.

The inside walls are not also exempted from this natural disaster.

ABANDONED POSTAL OFFICE

  5) This next picture is the abandoned post office of the Nigeria Postal Services, on which Harrison Goodness Foundation(HGF) have started negotiations with the Agency to take on lease as additional structure to the Health Centre building.

This structure would serve multiple purposes, ranging from extension of the health services and accommodation of the Health Centre Staff.

THE TEAM

   6) These are the delegation Team of the Otampa Development Union(ODU), during the inspection tour, with the trustees of Harrison Goodness Foundation(HGF),

the Director, Hon Richard Harrison and the Secretary, Dr MrsGloria Harrison, discussing the way forward for the rehabilitation of the Health Centre.

TRADITIONAL RULERS PALACE

7) This is the front view of the Traditional Leader’s Palace, the OTA1 of Otampa Autonomous Community, which is just few meters to the Heath Centre building.

MEETING WITH THE TRADITIONAL RULER

  8) This is the cross section of the Team at the Tradition Ruler’s palace brief him about the outcome of the inspection tour.

From here, the inspection team returned to the country home of the HGF trustees for a lavishing reception.
